Sue is a Nurse with over four decades of nursing experience in clinical care management, research and health education, a Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher and an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Educator from The Chopra Centre for Well-being led by founder Dr Deepak Chopra.
For over 10 years Sue travelled and explored many natural healing modalities from indigenous cultures around the world, their applications to modern day Self Care and the fusion with scientific research from Health Care.
Sue is Founder of MOMM, Moments Of Mass Mindfulness www.mommworld.org and Self Care World www.selfcareworld.org, both are dynamic, volunteer-led initiatives. Rooted in care and compassion, connection and collaboration, vibrancy is experienced through co-creating compassionate community gatherings and engaging in citizen, business, charity and governance action to raise awareness of holistic wellbeing and positive empowerment practices for conscious health and well-being.
Sue is co-director of Feast for the Soul, a 40 day worldwide spiritual practice starting each year on January 15th – February 23rd www.feastforthesoul.org
Sue holds many voluntary roles in community, locally, she is a Non-Executive Director of Positively Empowered Kids CIC, https://positivelyempoweredkids.co.uk
Ambassador to Nottingham Mindfulness Group and Nottinghamshire Hospice and The Lieutenancy Commonwealth Group in Nottinghamshire.
Nationally, Sue is in the Well-being Advisory Group of The Queens Nursing Institute of Scotland www.qnis.org.uk and globally, a co-founder of www.livingcities.earth and an Ambassador for The Charter for Compassion. www.charterforcompassion.org
All these dynamic initiatives are gently weaving together through an emerging local place-based partnership collaboration which we share freely as a suggested way to localise creativity for aliveness and happiness. Living Cities – Notts is a grassroots organic way of being, living, collaborating and acting in compassionate community and it is very exciting!
